What Kind of Classes Can I Take?

Online high school programs offer a wide variety of classes to their students. Not only will they provide you with the foundation courses you’d get through public schools, you’ll also be able to access additional courses that might not be available in your area. At James Madison High School, for example, there are a number of classes you can take to hone your skills in specific areas, whether that’s in scientific experimentation or money management. A few of these classes include:

The truth is, online high school offers many opportunities that public schools don’t, so they’re worth looking into. Some of the main differences you’ll notice when researching online schools are the pacing, cost, and atmosphere they offer.

  • Accounting: If you want to be successful in the business world someday, JMHS’s accounting course can give you the foundation you need. Here, you’ll learn about important formulas and cycles, business operations, managing assets, and other matters important in the process of handling business finances. To succeed in this class, don’t neglect mathematical studies! They’ll go a long way toward helping you pass the class.
  • Fitness: The basics of fitness and healthy living are taught through online Fitness classes. Here, you’ll learn about why people choose to eat certain foods, how exercise affects your health, and how to manage stress. The class involves plenty of reading and multiple choice tests, so brushing up on those skills will help you succeed in your coursework.

These online high school programs let you develop additional skills that will help you in your employment, further education, and daily living.
