James Madison High School Partners with eCore Online College Program

Online College Courses for High School Students

If you're a high school student excited about getting on with college, online college classes from James Madison High School can help! Thanks to a partnership with eCore, JMHS offers online college courses for high school students who want the challenge of higher-level studies and a flexible learning schedule.

Online College Classes Available to Students Across the US through eCore

First designed for Georgia students who want to take college classes in high school, eCore allows high school students to complete college level courses online through the University System of Georgia (USG). Now, through the JMHS partnership, eCore online college courses are available to everyone!

From anywhere in the U.S., students in 10th, 11th or 12th grades, can start eCore online college courses for high school students through JMHS. Course credits should be transferrable to most regionally accredited colleges and universities nationwide. But, before you begin an eCore class, an academic advisor can determine if these credits will apply to your college major.

As an added benefit, students taking eCore college classes in high school through JMHS can earn both undergraduate and high school credit at the same time!

eCore College Classes in High School are Affordable, Flexible

Thanks to JMHS cost-effective programs, eCore online college courses for high school students are very affordable. For Georgia residents, the Move on When Ready (MOWR) program provides eCore at zero tuition. For all other U.S. students, it's only $159 per credit hour. Tuition includes online textbooks and online tutors. The flexibility of online college courses means students can study how and when they like. Students can earn up to 15 undergraduate credits per semester and take classes for a full 16-weeks or accelerated 8-week sessions.

To sign up for the eCore program, you must already be admitted to an eCore affiliate university or college. (JMHS students are automatically qualified!) Then, submit an official high school transcript which includes ACT/SAT scores. Once you’re admitted, a special advisor will help you register for your online college courses for high school students.

With eCore and JMHS online college classes, you can get a head start on your future and enjoy a rewarding challenge. Learn more about eCore and Move On Ready by clicking here.
