This month we spoke to Megan Bowen about her role at James Madison High School.

What do you teach at James Madison HS?

I'm an Assistant Principal and an English Teacher

If you were not a teacher, what would you do?

I would be a teacher

What is the one important life lesson you'd like your students to know?

Anything is possible and all goals are attainable. Dream big, work hard, and be patient.

If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be?

Ghandi, Mother Theresa, or Nelson Mandela… I'm drawn to each of them for their peaceful, compassionate leadership, charitable works, and their message of kindness toward all people.

If you were to create a slogan of your life, what would it be?

Be a lifelong student: always hungry to learn from every experience and grow as a person.
