James Madison High School Mission

Since 1996, James Madison High School has worked to provide adult learners and traditional students with relevant and timely courses in secondary education. Our curriculum is designed to help our students propel past the barriers keeping them from fulfilling their desire for a better career and life.

Student Outcomes

By incorporating the following learning and career outcomes into its programs, James Madison High School ensures that graduates are prepared to succeed in a variety of professional, civic, and personal settings.

    Graduates will demonstrate competence in written communication skills.

    Graduates will demonstrate critical thinking and quantitative analysis skills.

    Graduates will demonstrate competent professional and life skills that include responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Qualifications for Advancement
    Graduates will have the knowledge and credentials to apply for jobs, change careers, advance in their current workplace, or to pursue post-secondary or college education.


Common Core State Standards

JMHS meets Common Core State Standards in English and Math. The CCSS, developed by a collaboration of teachers, parents and school administrators nationwide, defines the rigorous academic content needed to prepare high school graduates for success in college and careers.
